An approach shoe concept imagining the meeting of two French areas of expertise: Simond's mastery of mountain terrain and Michelin's legendary grip technology.
Designed to move seamlessly between trail, rock, and climbing routes, the shoe reinterprets the codes of the approach through an aesthetic inspired by the world of tires and a contemporary vision of all-terrain footwear.
The sole pattern and lateral overlays draw from Michelin tire tread sculptures, creating a visual link between both brands without compromising the performance demands of a mountain shoe.
The choice of blue came naturally. Present in both Simond's and Michelin's identities, it serves as common ground between two industrial worlds with distinct histories.
Through sketches, prototypes, and 3D visualizations, CONTACT imagines what a collaboration between two players united by a shared ambition could look like: strengthening the connection between the athlete and the terrain.
